WE PUT THE TRAINING TOGETHER
OFF-SEASON PROGRAM
We know how important the off-season is.
Over the last 12 years we've worked with hundreds of players and have seen first hand the results you can achieve if you put in the work on the right program. It can change your hockey career.
Unfortunately, not everyone can come spend an off-season with us so we decided to bring our off-season to you. It's a chance to work with the same coaches under the same methodology as our NHL clients without ever having to leave home.
IN-SEASON PROGRAM
What to know the biggest mistake we see players of all levels make?
They stop training during the season.
They spend all summer training hard and leaving no stone unturned but once the season rolls around they stop prioritizing their workouts. if you don't use it, you lose it and they become weaker, slower, and more likely to get injured.
We know it's hard to stay consistent, You're worried about feeling tired on the ice, burning out, or getting sick. That's why you need a properly designed In-Season Program.
I was 27 years old struggling after a tough spine injury and other related issues. Didn’t really know what to do, I was thinking about retiring early. I gave it one more try and reached out to the GRP team.
Best decision I’ve ever made. I feel to be in a better shape now that I’m 32 years old then pre-injury. I was able to compete at the highest level playing in KHL for some years and also play a big role in winning a championship in the czech Extraliga. Not only I found what I was looking for but also met some great people along the way that i can call friends and I can count on when things don’t go my way.

I have been working with Lucas for coming up on two years and it has been the best two years I have felt on the ice in my career. He tailors the programs to your gym equipment availability and personal needs through consistent communication. When there is an abnormal part of my schedule I let Lucas know and tailors my training schedule to my game schedule. I used to stress at training camp and camps over the physical testing were going to go but now I have the confidence going into testing to be successful. I’ve worked with multiple trainers over the last 10 years and I have to say Lucas and the Gary Roberts Program is the only one that hasn’t treated me like a number.

My 13 year old son Josh has started using the the GRP app this past year as a way to prepare for the upcoming lacrosse and hockey seasons.
The programming with the app has been excellent as it is personalized to his age, while also focusing on progressive movements and exercises. The app has been extremely easy for Josh to navigate and follow, which has been great as he is able to complete a workout by watching the exercise videos and instruction, which is critical for my confidence and his to be able to do alone. In addition it helps Josh assess his progression over time and develop a schedule to train, which is critical for young athlete.

Frequently Asked Questions
We design the program around what you have, but we suggest finding a location with some fundamental pieces - a squat rack, dumbbells, cables, or bands.
The program lasts 12 weeks. Of course, you always have the ability to add on additional time if you have a longer off-season.
The length varies depending on the focus of each session but in general you can expect to train for 45-60 minutes.
Your program is uploaded on the Gary Roberts training app. Every exercise has a video and written description to help you work through it.
Great question, pardon the pun. We're always here to help and you have unlimited access via text to a GR strength coach that we will answer during office hours. Our GRP Platinum athletes also receive monthly phone calls with their GRP Strength Coach & Nutritionist.
If an exercise is painful we always suggest stopping it and swapping it for different one. You can do that yourself in the app or we're happy to make the switch for you. Just send us a message.
